IRC Section 1031 Tax Deferred Exchanges on Real Estate

Martin Ciebien is familiar with tax deferred exchanges of Real Estate as outlined in Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code.  This section of the IRC deals with exchanges in Real Estate.  An exchange is considered a reciprocal transfer of property.  A deferred exchange is an exchange in which qualified property is transferred and subsequently qualified property is received as consideration.  A 1031 Tax Deferred Exchange on Real Estate, if properly completed, will give the exchangor a deferment on tax liability.
